Tetsuyuu is a glaze including iron that produces black, brown, dark brown, or yellowish-brown color depending on the amount of iron in the glaze. Tetsuyuu is a technique that has developed uniquely in the Orient, and has been made in various areas of China since ancient times, which in turn has influenced its production in Japan and Southeast Asia.
